Job Summary
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports the Alterations department by delivering an exceptional customer experience across in-person, phone, and virtual interactions. Responsibilities include welcoming customers, scheduling appointments, answering phones, pressing garments, and ensuring items are ready for pickup. The role involves managing customer flow to deliver five-star service, promoting alterations services and personalization options, upholding store standards, assisting with inventory and special orders, processing transactions at the POS, and collaborating with the Alterations Manager to resolve issues. The CSR supports a positive shopping experience for multiple customers simultaneously, maintains a dress-code compliant environment, and contributes to achieving high customer satisfaction and loyalty. The position is part-time, with compensation offered hourly in the stated range and various benefits after an initial period.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience is helpful
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system
