Job Summary
Greet customers sincerely, measure, fit, mark, and pin garments according to specifications. Disassemble, sew, and reassemble clothing while using irons and steamers to prepare items. Repair damaged or defective merchandise and maintain a clean department and work area. Perform alterations ranging from basic to moderately difficult sewing procedures. Candidates must be professionally competent in basic and some advanced alterations. Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be professionally competent in all basic and some advanced alterations
- Own the customer experience – greet people sincerely, be friendly and thank every customer
- Measure, fit, mark, and pin garments according to customer specifications
- Disassemble, sew and/or reassemble garments according to measurements taken during fitting
- use iron and steamer to prepare garments for customers
- Repair damaged or defective merchandise
- Garment work may range from basic to moderately difficult sewing/alteration procedures
- Maintain a clean department and work area
