Job Summary
Conduct alterations, resizing, and restyling of all merchandise to meet Neiman Marcus quality standards. Alter seams, vented or unvented, take in shoulder blades, reduce chest, narrow shoulders, rotate sleeves, shorten sleeves, shorten back, shorten collar, square shoulders, shorten coats, re-line coats, or remake pockets. Operate and maintain all sewing equipment and self-inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Complete alterations assigned tasks, as assigned by Supervisor/Lead, interpreting written and oral instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read English and understand instruction by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment, with exposure to a variety of garment styles and types of fabrics
