Job Summary
Conduct alterations, resizing, and restyling of all merchandise to meet Neiman Marcus quality standards, including taking in shoulders, shortening sleeves, and re-lining coats. Operate and maintain all sewing equipment while self-inspecting completed work to ensure structural integrity. Assist fitters by evaluating fit, alterability, and structural quality of apparel under written and oral instructions from supervisors. Interpret measurements across all units and complete assigned tasks as directed by store management.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read English and understand instruction by Manager, Supervisor, or Lead
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment, with exposure to a variety of garment styles and types of fabrics
