Job Summary
Alterations Support Professional at Bloomingdale’s performs sewing and alterations on garments (sleeves, backs, sides, collars, bodices), minor repairs, and button replacements. Delivers quality alterations to customer specifications, answers inquiries about services, and maintains a pleasant, knowledgeable customer experience. Requires speed, attention to detail, collaboration, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities; must work a flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong communication with customers and peers is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years direct experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse groups
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
