Job Summary

Coordinate team resources and stakeholder engagement for the $125MM NEBC Expansion Program, ensuring execution meets AltaGas' Project Delivery Model. Deliver a safety-first mindset across design, procurement, fabrication, and construction while developing detailed project plans through a gated process. Act as the central point of contact for execution activities, overseeing the construction management team and maintaining effective rapport with operations, vendors, and consultants. Monitor and track project progress, risks, and costs to provide status reports to key stakeholders and implement corrective measures for negative trends. Manage design interfaces, procurement documents, and contractor relationships to ensure seamless integration and compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead the project risk management function, develop contingent response plans, and provide proactive coaching to the project team.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered P.Eng. on a relevant Scope of Practice in Alberta and/or B.C.
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Project Manager relating to large scale oil and/or gas projects, gas midstream preferred
  • Experience progressing the front-end phases of a large-scale project from concept identification through to detailed design, using a gated approach
  • Additional experience with project execution, commissioning, and handover to operations
  • Proven experience executing small, mid-size and large projects on time and on budget
  • Motivated individual with the willingness to embrace challenging and dynamic projects
  • Experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders and resources
  • Ability to work with multi-discipline Projects
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a very dynamic work environment
  • Project Management and supervision skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills at all levels in the organization
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
