Job Summary
Provide day-to-day engineering support across assigned facilities, including troubleshooting process, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical issues. Assist with Management of Change (MOC) processes by preparing technical documentation and coordinating required inputs. Support plant performance monitoring, data analysis, and the development of Engineering Work Packages for small capital projects. Participate in risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and incident investigations to identify and implement mitigation actions. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve reliability and safety while ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical, Petroleum, or other relevant engineering disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience
- field operations experience
- Professional designation in Alberta: P.Eng., P.L. (Eng.), or P.Tech. (Eng.)
- Strong technical expertise in the design, operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of midstream facilities
- working knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NACE)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and engineering tools, including HYSYS/ProMax, PI Vision/DataLink, and Maximo
- Experience leading or participating in PHAs, HAZOPs, and other structured process safety and risk assessment activities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex operational challenges, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license
- ability to travel to and work safely at operating facilities, including occasional work in elevated or confined-space environments
