Job Summary
Provide personal care and services to residents with dementia, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Escort residents to meals and activities, monitor their physical and behavioral conditions, and document care through electronic charting. Maintain resident living areas, manage supplies, and report equipment needs to the Resident Care Director. Requires at least 18 years of age, current CNA or one year experience with seniors, and First Aid certification. Located at 1 AlmaVia of Camarillo, part of the Transforming Age family, with competitive pay ranging from $18.58 to $20.06 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Current First Aid Training and Certifications (per CA Title 22 regulations)
- Background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment screenings (Physical, Fingerprint, TB Test)
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field
- Minimum of one year experience working with seniors or be a current CNA, preferably in a long term care environment
- Knowledge and experience working with older adults, the aging process and dementia care
