Job Summary
ALM Risk Manager role within the Trading Risk Management (TRM) and ALM Risk function in the UK. Responsible for proactive ALM risk oversight across IRRBB and Funding & Liquidity for WB UK banking books, partnering with Group Treasury and Finance to ensure robust governance and independent challenge. Key duties include daily risk monitoring and analysis of market risk exposure for GT UK and CEM, delivering concise commentary and escalating as thresholds are approached; stakeholder engagement with GT and Finance to challenge risk positions and actions; hosting the Monthly Desk Review (MDR) for GT UK, leading the annual LCS review, and supporting ongoing ALM governance; regulatory reporting outputs for PDCE and SOT IRRBB, and driving data quality improvements. The role requires strong Python skills for data analysis and process improvements, plus solid understanding of IRRBB concepts, liquidity management, and banking balance sheets. Excellent analytical and communication abilities, with autonomy and collaborative mindset; capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Required Qualifications
- A university degree (2:1 or higher) in a numerate field (a science, economics, maths, or engineering)
