Job Summary
Monitor the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely load and shipment while operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of animal feed and supplements. Perform routine checks on machinery such as mixing, bagging, spray drying, and fluid bed drying units, reporting issues to the maintenance team. Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, keeping the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products. Communicate with team members and leadership to improve processes and troubleshoot production issues. Maintain accurate records through basic computer skills for data entry while ensuring all processes follow safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and data entry
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues
- Must be physically able to operate motor vehicle and forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50-55 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator (in some designated areas)
- Must past post-offer physical and drug screen
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperature and noise levels
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing or manufacturing
- Ability to work any shift
