Job Summary
Provide academic instruction in maintenance management, soldering skills, electricity, and internal combustion engine fundamentals to new soldiers entering the Ordnance Corps. Conduct classroom and laboratory conferences, demonstrations, and practical exercises while performing student critiques and offering remediation training. Review and update academic publications, lesson plans, and technical content for precise power generation sets up to 200kw. Serve as a subject matter expert developing revisions to training support packages and POIs. Maintain classrooms by reconfiguring furnishings, sorting training aids, and stocking materials, while assisting with outdoor site maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Provide academic instruction in maintenance management and soldering skills
- Fundamentals of electricity
- Installation and paralleling
- Performing Field and Sustainment Level Maintenance on tactical precise power generation sets up through 200kw
- Basic engine design
- Functioning of internal combustion engines and associated equipment
- Review and update academic and doctrinal publications
- Maintain vehicles/equipment supported by academic instruction
- Conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises
- Conduct student critiques
- Review and provide pen and ink changes to lesson plans
- Cross-train
- Arrange and engage in instructional preparation and testing material
- Serve as an Assistant Instructor in classes
- Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction
- Assist in updating technical content of lesson material
- Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages
- Provide remediation training
- Maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings
- Sort and maintain training aides and equipment
- Stock training materials and equipment
- Assist with outdoor training site maintenance
