Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nursing staff as required. Actively monitor the environment to implement safe work practices ensuring patient and staff safety. Supervise and assist patients in exercise routines, gait activities, daily living activities, transfers, dressing, and showering in hydrotherapy. Identify client circumstances needing additional input from Allied Health Professionals and communicate this in clinical handover. Comply with hospital and department policies and procedures while participating in staff education programs and research as appropriate. This casual role offers flexible weekday and weekend shifts with a salary of $40.06 to $40.93 per hour plus superannuation.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures effectively
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to relate to others in a sensitive and professional manner
- Commitment to completing a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Vaccination from Influenza
