Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nursing staff by assisting with patient transfers, exercise routines, and daily living activities. Actively monitor the environment to implement safe work practices, supervise gait activities, and assist with dressing and showering in hydrotherapy. Identify client circumstances requiring additional professional input and communicate these details during clinical handovers while complying with hospital policies. Actively participate in staff education programs and research initiatives as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures effectively
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to relate to others in a sensitive and professional manner
- Commitment to completing a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Vaccination from Influenza
