Job Summary
Alliance Manager within the Innovation Unit BD&L at Boehringer Ingelheim, based in Vienna, leading high-impact external alliances. Build and maintain trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners; lead alliance governance including steering committees; drive execution of joint R&D plans with milestones and partner expectations; ensure financial transparency across alliances; identify and resolve risks or conflicts to enable sustainable partnership success. Requires an advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) and at least 8 years in pharma/biotech/life sciences, with extensive experience in alliance management or managing complex external partnerships in a global context. Must demonstrate understanding of drug discovery and development, ideally in Oncology, and show strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills in a matrix organization. Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally (up to ~20%). Required Qualifications
- PhD or MD or equivalent
