Job Summary
Set appointments, collect medical histories and vital signs, and perform allergy tests, skin tests, and injections. Prepare and mix vials, document procedures, and manage EHR systems while maintaining inventory and compliance with privacy regulations. Adhere to all safety policies, request medical records, and support clinic cleanliness and administrative functions. Work Monday through Friday during daytime hours with occasional after-hours meetings. Requires certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or equivalent by an accredited institution.
Required Qualifications
- Be a certified by one or more of the four accredited institutions for medical assistance: AAMA, CMA; the American Medical Technologists Registered Medical Assistant, the National Center for Competency Testing for National Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant by the National Health Career Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a prominent level of professionalism.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, compassionate care, professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Ability to remain focused for extended periods and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, adapt to change, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- On-site, clinical office setting.
- Monday–Friday, daytime schedule; occasional after-hours meetings may be required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, move throughout the office as needed, and perform light lifting; manual dexterity required for frequent computer and phone use.
