Job Summary
Allergy Assistant will perform allergy-related clinical duties in an Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery clinic, including scheduling and educating patients for skin testing, sterile compounding of testing trays and serums, administration of SCIT injections and SLIT drops, identifying anaphylaxis and applying protocols, managing clinic inventories per USP 797, preparing Rx orders, maintaining infection-control practices, and coordinating with clinic staff to support the Allergy Immunization Program. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a CMA/AB-ROE credential within 3 months, current BLS, strong interpersonal/communication skills, and basic computer skills. Experience in a clinical setting and allergy immunology is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant or AB-ROE credential acquired within 3 months of employment or from date of eligibility
- Current BLS or acquired within 3 months of employment
- Basic keyboarding/computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
