Job Summary
Facility Manager at Allen Creek Soccer Complex oversees all operations, including facility operations, scheduling, turf/grounds management, events and tournaments, budgeting and revenue management, maintenance oversight, safety planning, and emergency preparedness. Responsibilities include guiding daily operations, planning maintenance of buildings/grounds/equipment, supervising staff, managing practice/game/tournament scheduling, turf management and chemical applications, repairs, safety inspections, compliance with standards, disaster/emergency planning, customer service, budgeting, vendor/partnership management, and on-call coverage. Requires leadership with hands-on operational duties; night/weekend work may be required; strong focus on safety, regulations, and community recreation programming.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation & Parks Administration, Public or Business Administration, Turfgrass Science, Agronomy, or related field preferred
- Five (5) years of facility management, parks operations, or recreation experience preferred
- At least two (2) years of turf or grounds operations experience preferred
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred
- Valid Class C Driver's License and satisfactory MVR
- EPA Pesticide Applicator's Permit preferred
- Knowledge of grounds maintenance operations and horticultural methods and procedures
- Ability to plan, direct and review work of assigned subordinates
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and subordinates
- Ability to perform heavy physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds
- ADA Minimum Requirements including physical ability to move about, lift 25-50 lbs, work nights/weekends, etc.
- Sensory Ability: verbal and written communication; hand/eye coordination
- Environmental Factors: exposure to inclement weather, heavy machinery, etc.
- Travel/working around equipment and county vehicles
