Job Summary
Alignment Technician responsible for performing brake, front end, and alignment maintenance and related mechanical work in accordance with company programs and procedures. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, maintaining workflow and customer service efficiency, ensuring proper documentation for invoicing, supporting shop safety and policy adherence, participating in weekly meetings, assisting in organizing adjustments and core credits, meeting service-related quotas, utilizing the outside purchase program to maximize profitability, executing vehicle inspections, and assisting management with orientation and coaching of new personnel. The role requires operating both automatic and manual transmissions, working in an outdoor environment, adhering to PPE regulations, and supporting store objectives for service, sales, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to remain stationary for up to nine hours per shift
- Ability to move and retrieve products weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
