Job Summary
Alignment Technician responsibilities include performing brake, front end, and alignment maintenance and other mechanical duties in accordance with company programs; ensuring accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles; maintaining customer-service flow to support productivity; documenting work for invoicing; assisting in training new personnel; and supporting safety, service, and productivity goals. Requires ability to operate vehicles, work outdoors, use PPE, communicate effectively with customers and teammates, and meet pre-employment screening requirements. Preferred skills include High school diploma or GED, ASE certifications, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Familiarity with the outside purchase program and vehicle inspection processes is a plus. Benefits described include a comprehensive package for regular full-time positions.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
