Alignment Technician

Job Summary
Conduct brake, front end, and alignment maintenance while diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions. Safely operate vehicles to move them between service areas and ensure consistent execution of the vehicle inspection program. Maintain orderly customer service flow, extend Extra Care Services, and assist in organizing adjustments and core credits. Attend weekly store meetings to review safety issues and policies, and support store achievement of service, sales, and productivity goals. Assist management in training new personnel and ensure accurate invoicing information is provided to counter staff.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in an automotive shop environment
- Appropriate ASE certifications
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Strong verbal communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to perform detail work with accuracy
