Job Summary
Conduct performance analysis of missile tracking and prediction algorithms and analyze space-based sensor constellations. Develop analysis tools using Python and Matlab, track and resolve algorithm defects, and deliver technical presentations and reports. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to bridge theoretical concepts with practical implementation of state estimation and motion filters. Requires Secret clearance, 5+ years of experience, and ability to travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
- 5 years of related experience
- Master's degree in a STEM discipline
- 3 years experience
- PhD
- 1 year of experience
- minimum of 1 year of software development experience with Python and/or C++
- Linux experience
- working knowledge of common utilities like grep, awk, cat head, etc.
- Experience developing, analyzing, testing, and implementing extendable / reusable algorithms
- algorithm design and state estimation experience
- Experience with data analysis - Population statistics and trend identification
- The ability to bridge between theoretical concepts and practical implementation
- Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs
- current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
- ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university
- A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Top Secret security clearance
- Strong statistical background and skills
- Experience in tracking and prediction algorithms, simulation, and validation
- Experience with multiple hypothesis tracking
- Experience in the numerical implementation of motion filters
