Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and deployment of software for VinFast's ADAS technology, focusing on behavior and motion planning modules for applications like automatic parking and adaptive cruise control. Manage the daily tasks of the development team in utilizing modern planning algorithms while translating automotive industry requirements into practical solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate motion planning algorithms into ADAS systems, adhering to agile development methodologies and the V-Model. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment. Requires a Master's degree in engineering with 7 to 10 years of experience in ADAS or autonomous driving, proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB, and knowledge of AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- Ph.D.
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience in the automotive industry, specifically in ADAS or autonomous driving, as a technical or team leader
- Strong managerial and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
- Strong understanding of commonly implemented motion planning algorithms in the automotive industry
- Ability to deliver complex software features from design to implementation and testing on automotive-grade hardware
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems
- Proficient in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB
- Experience with agile development methodologies and the V-Model
- Understanding of AUTOSAR and Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing and deploying motion planning algorithms in real-world automotive applications as a technical leader
- Understanding of automotive standards and safety protocols, such as ISO 26262
