Job Summary
ALERT IIS System Analyst & Technical Lead leads and guides the strategic direction and enhancements of Oregon’s ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS). You will lead the Change Control Team, serve as primary liaison with the IIS vendor, coordinate immunization data and system alignment across OHA divisions and external state partners, and provide technical expertise to national partners including the CDC and IIS consortia. Responsibilities include applying strong project management principles to translate program priorities into system improvements, ensuring alignment with public health priorities, overseeing system design and interoperability, and facilitating communications with internal teams and external partners. Key skills and capabilities include systems analysis and leadership in public health informatics, HL7 and data exchange practices, vendor coordination, data-driven decision making, and effective facilitation and reporting for leadership and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, Computer Science, or another field demonstrating informatics-related knowledge and skills, plus four years of professional experience in evaluative, analytical, and planning work OR seven years of experience with equivalent education/experience
- Experience with Immunization Information Systems (IIS)
- Knowledge of HL7 standards and data flows (preferred)
- Project management experience
- Ability to coordinate with internal divisions and external partners
