Job Summary
Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards while engaging guests with knowledgeable product suggestions. Monitor guest alcohol consumption, assess intoxication levels, and take appropriate action in accordance with responsible beverage service guidelines. Operate and maintain beverage equipment, including refrigeration systems and beer reticulation systems, while following inventory control procedures to minimize waste. Process guest payments, balance cash registers, and communicate service issues to leadership. Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all liquor laws and company policies. This part-time role supports the operational success of the Food & Beverage department at WarHorse Gaming, a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., with a varying schedule based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, service bar, fine dining, hospitality, or nightclub environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of cocktail preparation, beverage recipes, and mixology techniques
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrated commitment to responsible alcohol service and ethical conduct
- Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
- Ability to remain standing and active for extended periods throughout assigned shifts
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying beverage products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds
- Frequent use of hands and arms to prepare beverages and operate bar equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely operate beverage dispensing equipment and bar service systems
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require
