Job Summary
Support patient care in an inpatient addiction medicine unit as an Alcoholism Rehab Assistant. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, measuring and recording clinical data (vital signs, weight, intake/output), performing patient rounding, reporting changes to the Charge Nurse, maintaining a safe and clean unit, and supporting documentation and milieu therapy activities under supervision. Role involves participating in patient discussion groups related to recovery steps and assisting with administrative tasks such as filing and chart organization. Evening, part-time role with 24 hours per week; strong emphasis on compassion, recovery orientation, infection control, and teamwork. Preferred background includes experience in chemical dependency programs and recovery communities (AA/NA/ACOA/Al-Anon).
