Job Summary
Provide clinical monitoring and coordination of the behavioral health program in jail settings, serving as liaison between medical and facility staff for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Engage patients in therapeutic interventions, facilitate group and individual sessions in the MAT program, and actively assist with suicide risk detection and prevention. Document encounters using the SOAPE format and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and QA activities. Requires CASAC or CASAC2 and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related Human Services field; full-time role across Montgomery County Jail (Fultonville, NY) and Fulton County Correctional Facility (Johnstown, NY).
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified as an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC or CASAC2)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related Human Services degree with concentration in drug and alcohol coursework
- Minimum one year clinical experience preferred
