Job Summary
Provide culturally safe, flexible, and family violence literate AOD support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in line with Program Manuals and Practice Guidelines. Undertake case planning, risk and needs assessment, and risk management using the MARAM framework. Deliver secondary consultations to ISS Case Workers, facilitate referrals to specialist services, and enable brokerage where required. Maintain accurate files and reports to support evidence-based service delivery while representing Djirra in network meetings and forums. Build collaborative relationships with internal programs and external agencies. Participate actively in supervision, team meetings, and professional development. Occasional after-hours work required. Full-time fixed-term 12-month contract. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- A Victorian Employees Working with Children's Check card or willing to obtain one
- Willing to obtain a Police Check at Djirra's expense
- Driver's License
- Mandatory minimum qualification of AOD Cert IV or working towards attaining this
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in the AOD and/or family violence sectors, preferably with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development or related discipline
