Job Summary

Conduct substance-use assessments for Job Corps students and develop individualized intervention plans, including behavioral contracts and career plans. Lead prevention efforts by designing educational activities, facilitating support groups, and coordinating biochemical testing programs while ensuring adherence to the Zero Tolerance policy. Provide counseling and relapse-prevention support, collaborate with mental health counselors for co-occurring conditions, and maintain strict confidentiality of student health records per HIPAA.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted license in a counseling discipline.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner focused on substance abuse prevention, counseling, or education.
  • Experience providing assessment and treatment services to adolescence and young adults.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing.

Desired Qualifications

  • Possess the ability to work both independently and as a member of a healthcare team to provide optimal services to a population of financially disadvantaged youth, typically ranging from 16 to 24 years in age.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and motivational skills.
