Job Summary

Conduct substance-use assessments for Job Corps students and develop individualized intervention plans while coordinating career plans with counselors and educators. Facilitate group sessions, lead prevention efforts through educational activities, and manage the biochemical testing program to ensure integrity. Provide ongoing counseling, support groups, and relapse-prevention services, collaborating with the recreation department to reinforce alcohol-free lifestyles. Adhere to the Zero Tolerance policy and maintain strict HIPAA compliance for all student health records. This role supports the Trainee Employee Assistance Program's focus on preventing barriers to employability for youth aged 16 to 24.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted license in a counseling discipline.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner focused on substance abuse prevention, counseling, or education.
  • Experience providing assessment and treatment services to adolescence and young adults.
  • Possess the ability to work both independently and as a member of a healthcare team to provide optimal services to a population of financially disadvantaged youth, typically ranging from 16 to 24 years in age.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and motivational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing.
