Job Summary

Provide individual, group, and family counseling services within PHP and IOP levels of care. Complete biopsychosocial assessments, ASAM-aligned treatment plans, and ongoing documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Facilitate evidence-based group programming focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery support. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff to coordinate client care. Participate in supervision, case consultation, and reflective practice to support quality services and professional growth. Maintain ethical boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Work full-time on-site in Myrtle Beach, SC, with a salary of $58,000 to $72,000 annually.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field meeting South Carolina licensure requirements
  • Active, full South Carolina licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LISW-CP, or LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor), in good standing (associate-level licensure not eligible)
  • Active Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) credential or documented eligibility to obtain
  • Demonstrated competencies in group facilitation, documentation, and treatment planning
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and South Carolina behavioral health regulations
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary treatment team

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience providing counseling in SUD or co-occurring treatment settings
  • Working knowledge of utilization review expectations and documentation standards
