Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Assess mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, and develop treatment plans. Utilize psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in New Mexico by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent written communication
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
