Job Summary
Board-certified/eligible Adult Cardiac Surgeon sought to join Albany Medical College's academic cardiac surgery program. Responsibilities include conducting coronary bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs); leading teaching activities for residents, medical students, and fellows; engaging in quality initiatives and clinical research; and collaborating with cardiology and anesthesia teams. Academic appointment with rank commensurate with experience; role includes teaching, program development, and opportunities for leadership. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- Board certified or eligible in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience
- Academic appointment eligibility and medical licensure in New York
- Demonstrated experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Strong teaching and collaboration with residents, fellows, and other healthcare providers
