Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive adult cardiac surgery services including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements. Lead program development, quality improvement, and clinical research initiatives while teaching residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative academic environment featuring state-of-the-art operating rooms and modern EMR systems. Requires board certification in Adult Cardiac Surgery, at least two years of post-fellowship experience, and demonstrated ability to mentor and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- At least 2 years of clinical experience post fellowship training
- Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Demonstrated experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, surgery fellows, and other healthcare providers
- Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York
