Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive adult cardiac surgery services including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements. Lead program development, quality improvement, and clinical research initiatives while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic appointment at Albany Medical College. Participate in a multidisciplinary team supported by strong cardiology and anesthesia colleagues, utilizing state-of-the-art operating rooms and modern EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- At least 2 years of clinical experience post fellowship training
- Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Demonstrated experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, surgery fellows, and other healthcare providers
- Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York
