Job Summary
Board-certified/eligible Adult Cardiac Surgeon sought to join Albany Medical College's academic cardiac surgery program. Responsibilities include performing coronary revascularization (CABG), valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs); contribute to teaching residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers; participate in program development, quality improvement, and clinical research; and hold an academic appointment commensurate with experience. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- At least 2 years of clinical experience post fellowship training
- Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of New York
- Demonstrated experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to patient care
- Leadership qualities and assets valued
