Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive adult cardiac surgery services including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing the cardiac surgery program through active involvement in teaching, quality initiatives, and clinical research. Mentor residents, medical students, and fellows within a collaborative team supported by strong cardiology and anesthesia services. Participate in program development and clinical research utilizing state-of-the-art operating rooms and modern EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree
- board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- At least 2 years of clinical experience post fellowship training
- Clinically oriented
- research experience
- teaching abilities
- Eligible for academic appointment
- medical licensure in the state of New York
- Demonstrated experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures
- Ability to provide a current operative case log
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, surgery fellows, and other healthcare providers
