Job Summary
Hands-on Alarm Service Technician role performing installation, servicing, and inspection of low-voltage electronic security equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include working with alarm panels (2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco, GE, DSC, DMP, and others), troubleshooting technical issues, replacing system components (panels, peripheral devices, audible/visual alarms), driving to customer homes, and conducting thorough site evaluations with customers to ensure the system meets needs. The position involves safety-conscious workspace management, demonstrations to customers, identifying opportunities to improve system use, and maintaining proper safety practices. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, strong customer service skills, knowledge of alarm system operation, ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces, and possession of a low-voltage license or alarm installation certification plus NICET I. Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Good driving record and Valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates
- Must be ok with climbing ladders and working at heights
- Must be ok working in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics and basements
- Low-voltage license or alarm installation certification
- NICET I
