Job Summary
Alarm Service Technician with Brinks Home visits customer sites to install, service, and inspect low-voltage electronic security equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting alarm panels (2GIG, Qolsys, Ademco, GE, DSC, DMP, and others), replacing components, driving to customer homes, conducting system walkthroughs, testing operations and signal verification, providing system demonstrations and customer education, identifying opportunities to improve functionality, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, low-voltage license or alarm installation certification, NICET I, and strong customer service and familiarity with how alarm systems operate. Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces (crawlspaces, attics, basements) is required.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Good driving record and Valid driver’s license
- Low-voltage license or alarm installation certification
- NICET I
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates
- Must be ok with climbing ladders and working at heights
- Must be ok working in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics and basements
