Job Summary

Alarm Construction Technician role focusing on installing, servicing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The incumbent will lead and delegate tasks to fulfill project deadlines, manage budgets and paperwork, train helpers/apprentices, coordinate daily schedules, maintain vehicle inventory, and ensure safety and quality. Requires knowledge of NFPA/NEC codes, ability to read blueprints/submittals/manuals, Texas fire alarm license, NICET II (preferred), 2-4+ years’ experience, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 80% with per diem/lodging per policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • State of Texas Fire Alarm License Required
  • NICET Level II Fire Alarm and/or NICET Level II Special Hazards Preferred
  • Experience of 2-4+ years
  • Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
  • Ability to read fire alarm blueprints, submittals and operation/product manuals
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to fly
  • Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. (up to 80%)
