Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies, strictly following the five rights of medication administration. Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions, report concerns to supervising staff, and ensure proper documentation in the electronic health record system. Provide compassionate care and assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming, feeding, and mobility, while maintaining accurate medication records and complying with all state regulations. Work closely with nursing teams to support residents' overall well-being and respond promptly to emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Medication Aide certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medication Technician certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting
