AL - Housekeeping Aide

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living facility to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas; handling laundry and linen services; restocking supplies; managing cleaning chemicals safely; following infection-control policies and PPE protocols; providing friendly resident and staff interactions; reporting maintenance or safety issues; and contributing to overall resident comfort and well-being. Education is preferred at the high school level, with prior housekeeping experience optional and training provided. Skills emphasized include attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, teamwork or independent work, communication, and familiarity with cleaning equipment and materials.
