The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and serving of meals in a healthcare or long-term care facility, ensuring meals adhere to dietary guidelines and safety standards. Responsibilities include assisting in meal preparation and service, delivering food trays, following special diets (diabetic, low-sodium, gluten-free), maintaining sanitation and safety of the kitchen and dining areas, inventory and supplies management, and courteous, professional interaction with residents, patients, and staff. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow dietary plans and instructions, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
