Job Summary
The Activities Aide will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in a long-term care/assisted living setting, coordinating with the Activities Director to tailor programs to residents’ abilities and interests; responsibilities include leading activities (games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, special events), fostering resident participation and well-being, adapting activities for mobility/cognition differences, documenting attendance and resident preferences, and setting up/tearing down activity spaces. Requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy for older adults, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and basic computer skills for documentation.
