AJISS Technical Spec Writer - Electrical -Halifax

Technical Specification Writer for AJISS Coastal Support focusing on electrical systems aboard Royal Canadian Navy ships (AOPV/JSS). Responsible for writing specifications and Statements of Work (SOWs) to support corrective maintenance, ensuring capture of Class Societies and objective quality evidence (OQE). Liaises with ships staff, FMF work centers, OEMs, and engineering teams; develops Work Instructions; supports Deviations & Waivers, and Maintenance Management processes. Requires collaboration to identify material, develop documentation in the Technical Document Package, and contribute to timely defect resolution. Hybrid work in Halifax with primary on-site duties in the dockyard; travel may be required. Minimum education: 2-year electrical diploma or Military QL5; 3+ years marine/offshore experience; English fluency; strong MS Office skills. Regulatory access concerns include export controls (EC, EAR) and potential security clearances (NATO). Preferred qualifications include higher technical diplomas, provincial/national licensing, Red Seal familiarity, and prior Navy/Coast Guard experience.
