AIT Technician – GNC Module Assembly (Weekday Shift)

Job Summary
Assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules for Guidance, Navigation & Control spacecraft components while operating hand tools and light power equipment. Troubleshoot basic avionics and electrical systems, update documentation through online services, and assist in spacecraft integration activities. Perform miscellaneous lab duties including kitting, inventory, and organization tasks while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with the ability to quickly change priorities in a fast-paced environment. Maintain cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions throughout all assembly and testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of professional experience working hands-on as a technician within electromechanical assembly or spacecraft/spacecraft hardware manufacturing
- Ability to read, understand and follow detailed work instructions for assembly and testing flight product including blueprints and schematic drawings
- Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, and internet browser applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of soldering tools and practices
- Skillset of harnessing and soldering to IPC 620 specifications
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions
- Must have excellent visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and quality control tasks
- Ability to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for most of the working day
- Must possess a strong work ethic
- Be able to work with limited supervision
- Meet the requirements of the attendance policy
- Must perform all functions of the job in a safe and professional manner
- Ability to quickly change priority while working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long durations of time
- Ability to bend, reach, and walk
- U.S. lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Current United States National Security clearance or eligibility for such a clearance
Desired Qualifications

- J-STD-001 certification
