Job Summary

Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time across multiple tools on a 24x7x365 basis. Independently triage and manage ticket queues, correlate alarms, and isolate root causes for faults in routers, switches, and optical switching infrastructure. Coordinate service restoration with providers to meet SLAs, reroute circuits within 24 hours of outages, and document all changes in the configuration management database. Assist in developing a centralized known error database and provide advanced technical support for the Defense Information System Network. This role supports the DISA Global Operations Center at Hill AFB, UT, ensuring global situational awareness and network reliability for national security organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • High school and 3-5 years of experience
  • Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operation
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management
  • Advanced Knowledge in four or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching
  • General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP
