Job Summary
Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis across multiple tools. Independently triage and manage ticket queues, providing feedback and guidance for tickets of concern. Proactively analyze alarms to isolate root causes, coordinate fault corrections, and restore networks to full operation while meeting SLAs. Diagnose and troubleshoot network elements including routers, switches, and crypto devices, documenting reroutes and updates in the configuration management database. Assist in developing a centralized known error database and provide situational awareness to leadership and the impacted community. Support all customers by providing global situational awareness and advanced technical support for the DISN infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
- High school diploma
- 2-4 years of experience
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operation
- Experience with alarm surveillance
- Experience with fault management
- Experience with LAN maintenance
- Experience with performance management
- Advanced Knowledge in routers
- Advanced Knowledge in switches
- Advanced Knowledge in crypto devices
- Advanced Knowledge in routing
- Advanced Knowledge in DSN/DRSN
- Advanced Knowledge in Video Services
