Job Summary

Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, assisting with needs, and resolving concerns promptly. Supervise and direct Aisles Online employees, organizing labor for efficiency while maintaining in-house quality control and equipment safety. Communicate with leadership regarding labor needs, receiving, storage, and delivery issues, and respond to staff and customer inquiries professionally. Maintain employee records, document interactions, train new hires, and complete performance reviews. Answer phone calls to take orders and handle inquiries. Pitch in with special projects as assigned. This role supports Hy-Vee's mission to make customers' lives easier, healthier, and happier through a tight, customer-focused operation.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of similar or related job experience
  • Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
  • Exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
  • Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
  • Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
  • Ability to follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines
  • Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen

  • Authority to recommend employee disciplinary action
  • Ability to attend and participate in team meetings as assigned
  • Ability to answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call, including taking customer orders
  • Willingness to pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up
