Job Summary
Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs whenever you interact in the store. Transport totes from the command center to the pickup lane accurately and efficiently, then place gathered orders in storage at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly prior to customer arrival. Gather and stage orders in the holding area for pickup, ensuring products maintain proper temperature throughout the entire fulfillment process. Support the curbside team by completing a variety of tasks as directed by managers and pitch in with special projects. You must communicate clearly with customers and store personnel, identify problems and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment, and interact comfortably with basic computer systems and mobile device technology. This role supports Hy-Vee's Aisles Online program, giving customers a fast, convenient way to shop.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient usage of mobile device technology and basic technology troubleshooting
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, moving equipment hazards, and electrical equipment
- Must complete a pre employment drug screen
