Job Summary
The Airport Services Maintenance Repair Tech 1 (MRT1) is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on PLC controlled baggage and conveyor systems. This role involves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. The MRT1 will operate various equipment, clear bag jams, and assist in maintaining computerized maintenance data. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, and a minimum of 1 year of maintenance operations experience, with specific skills in industrial electrical systems. Intermediate knowledge of PLC systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- 1+ years’ experience in the area of maintenance operations
- Industrial Electrical Experience; specifically with 3 phase motors and 480v
- Mechanic skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Familiarity with Airport operations a plus
- Intermediate understanding of PLC Control systems
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs
- Previous experience with computer maintenance management systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift including weekends and holidays
